Product Description

A solid-state RF (Radio Frequency) CO2 laser combines the features of a solid-state laser (using a solid gain medium) with the excitation method of a RF CO2 laser (using RF energy to stimulate the gas).

It's a specialized type of CO2 laser that offers benefits like higher power, longer lifespan, and better beam quality compared to traditional RF CO2 lasers.

Traditional CO2 Lasers use a gas mixture, typically including carbon dioxide (CO2), helium, and nitrogen, as the active medium. The gas mixture is normally excited by direct current (DC) voltage or RF excitation.

Instead of gas, solid-state RF CO2 Lasers use RF excitation, like a traditional CO2 laser, but with a solid-state gain medium instead of a gas mixture.

This combination offers many advantages. Solid-state lasers can achieve high power and efficiency, and using RF excitation can improve beam quality and stability. Solid-state lasers are generally more compact and reliable than traditional gas lasers. RF excitation can contribute to a longer lifespan for the laser tube, and a more stable and higher-quality laser beam compared to DC-excited CO2 lasers.
